I really enjoyed staying in this 5-star hotel. the staff was accommodating and friendly. Plenty of food for breakfast, which was great to satisfy everyone. the setting was lovely, with a short walk to Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas, the river, and the grounds of a historic castle. the venue was only a 15-minute walk to a giant observation wheel.

We had a well decorated and nice room with an electric kettle, central heating, and a private entrance. It was near to gardens and a walking route by a river, a historic castle and Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas, lovely and peaceful location overall.

My wife and I loved being there. Overall it was extremely spacious with the most delicious breakfast. I felt very welcome here and would recomand the place...

The location close to Bellagio Chocolate Fountain was fantastic, and the courtyard here was perfect for having breakfast.

We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem in beautiful surroundings. The Munches Room at Buittle Castle was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches and a modern twist. The comfortable mattress ensured a peaceful night's sleep. Tim, our host, cooked us a superb breakfast and provided attentive service. The peaceful setting and abundance of wildlife made us feel like we had the place to ourselves. The work being done to restore the buildings and grounds is impressive. We can't wait to return to this fascinating and exceptional place.
